Pub Quiz

We haven't had a recap in a while. It is possible that so many hosts were BTOB that the memories of whatever they'd done during Quiz, had been drowned in a soup of high quality potables and high fat edibles of various sorts.

Uptown Phil Brown stepped into the breach, and conjured up rounds about birbs and two-word phrases and rows. Mary O'Shag asked about firsts and lasts and cars and Pride.

We remain grateful to Professor Lone Star for stabilizing (to the extent this cast of characters can ever be called stable) the show on Streamyard.

Next Wednesday, more Quiz. Join us at 8, and pour your own.

A quote for these times: "We need in every bay and community a group of angelic troublemakers.”

I finally figured out who to blame for Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar being famous: Apparently, it's VH1's fault.

Join us tonight for the Uptown Plague Quiz! We'll be live streaming starting at 8pm EDT on the UPQ Facebook Page!

Honestly, where else do you have to be?

Actually, everyone in the Sadieist's family is sawed off and short.

This might be a tough pill to swallow, but last week's quiz gave excellent Phil ratio.

See if you can decipher that cryptic clue, get your friends together on Zoom/GoToMeeting/Meet/TikTok/MySpace/IRC/Whatever, and join us tonight on the Uptown Plague Quiz Facebook Page at 8 PM Eastern.

Show up early for our live floor show.

Happy Quizday! Tonight's Uptown Plague Quiz will feature not one, but TWO Phil's hosting. Uptown Phil Brown will be joining me in bringing you the weekly trivia you crave each week.

I think you're all smart enough to do well without a hint, but just to ease the jitters Uptown Phil Brown has given you this snippet:

[Frito-Lay offices, circa 1994]
R+D Head: Sir, we can make them 20% larger.
CEO: And?
R+D Head: And, uh, 15% thinner.
R+D Head: And round the edges off of each one?
CEO: Excellent, here's $50 million dollars, get to work.

See if you can decipher that cryptic clue, get some paper and a pen, get your friends together on Zoom/GoToMeeting/Meet/TikTok/Whatever, then join us tonight on the Uptown Plague Quiz Facebook Page at 8 PM Eastern.

Show up early for our live floor show.

Evil Mr. Phil

Can we pretend that airplanes in the night sky are like juvenile insects in between molts?

Another Wednesday, another quiz. And tonight we have special guest hosts! Joey and Ian will be joining us from Uptown Philly (near Motown Philly I think) to host what promises to be the best Uptown Plague Quiz of the month.

I think you'll all do fine, but to help you out Joey has offered this hint:

"George Clooney and Orson Welles were both born on May 6th. Huh. What's the probability of that?"

Figure out what that means, get your friends together on Zoom/GoToMeeting/Hangouts/TikTok/Whatever, and join us tonight at the Uptown Plague Quiz Facebook Page at 8 PM Eastern - maybe a little earlier if you want a good seat.

Evil Mr. Phil

It's Wednesday! I wasn't completely sure, so I checked a calendar. It is in fact Wednesday.

That means we have a quiz tonight. Once again we'll be broadcasting from the Uptown Plague Quiz Facebook Page. The Evil Mr. Phil and Naomi of the North will start the quiz at 8 PM Eastern (7 PM Central), but tune in a little early to get situated.

And if you want something to think about in the meantime (a hint if you will), imagine if you will a light blue 1976 AMC Pacer with flames painted on the sides if you will.

Evil Mr. Phil

That was quite a night.

The Sadiest and Mary O'Shag prevailed over tech woes by following the sound advice of Dr. Jordan. The dozens of participants cheered on the resilient quizmasters, but once all was running smoothly, reverted to the usual trash talk and questioning of hostly wisdom about cow stomachs.

Late in the event, Mary O'Shag turned green in the sight of many, but she looked fine to herself. Perhaps an evil leprechaun took over her camera? At any rate, proper appearances were restored, and the evening ended with a rock/paper/scissors common bond.

See you all next week!
